Marking its 20th anniversary this month, Axios Systems says it is proud to announce the launch of assyst 8, one of its most comprehensive releases in the last 10 years.
assyst 8 was unveiled to customers at the company's annual Global User Group Conference underway through Oct. 7 in Edinburgh, UK. Building on the strengths of its technology, assyst 8 delivers the most extensive set of new features from Axios to date, the company said. This includes new and enhanced process automation features such as Workflow Designer and Management, Resource Utilization Management, Maintenance Scheduling, and Real-Time Management Reporting. Multi-level CMDB (configuration management database) visualization and Impact Exploration also promise service-driven value to organizations, says the company.
Axios Systems says it prides itself on delivering fast time-to-value and low cost-of-ownership through its ease of upgrade and a powerful Web 2.0 architecture. It's solution allows an organization to rapidly mature its IT service delivery, particularly if it is following an ITIL (information technology infrastructure library)-based approach. After each new product release, no retraining or reimplementation is needed for the upgraded solution in order to utilize the latest version and access the new functionality, according to the company.
Tasos Symeonides, managing director and co-founder of Axios Systems, says, "This is our most extensive product enhancement in recent years, adding over 100 feature and functional enhancements to what was already seen as a leader in its field. We are 100 percent focused on ITSM (information technology services management) and have been for 20 years now. This focus gives us an outstanding insight to where the industry is going and how assyst can help. assyst 8 is also a great example of our collaborative approach, satisfying over 700 customer enhancement requests within the new features of assyst 8. Being this attentive to customer needs is a big reason why customers are staying with us longer-more than twice the industry average."
Symeonides continues, "We are constantly striving to provide our customers with a leading edge, service-driven, high-value solution that upgrades seamlessly, with no operational disruption within the shortest period of time. assyst 8 delivers just that."
More than 90 percent of Axios customers are on the current or minus one release of the product. This shows the eagerness of its customers to upgrade, so they may begin reaping the benefits of the new functionality. Axios aims to release a major version upgrade every 12-18 months.
