Software AG announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm, has named Software AG a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for On-Premises Application Suites for its webMethods Integration Platform.

The webMethods Integration suite enables firms to connect all their different, disparate on-premise or Cloud software seamlessly. This allows them to unify and optimize their A2A, B2B, Mobile, Big Data, Cloud and social applications across a single platform.

The webMethods Suite has helped many enterprises transform their businesses in revolutionary ways. An European airport uses webMethods ESB to achieve an Internet-of-Things infrastructure by automating their entire airport operations by integrating all of their enterprise applications, networking their 25,000 airport workers and connecting all their devices, such as digital displays and electronic doors. Moreover, a global retailer is deploying webMethods ESB in their international locations to automate and integrate over 3,000 stores to gain visibility across their inventory, supplies and Point of Sales systems.

Software AG customers have been delighted with recent innovations, especially features such as the Elastic ESB, which allows them to spin off new instances of a webMethods ESB on-demand to handle the natural peaks and troughs of their businesses. For the Gartner Magic Quadrant for On-Premises Application Integration Suites, Gartner evaluated Software AG's webMethods Suite V9.6., which was released in April.

Functionality included in webMethods is Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for connecting anything with everything, Universal Messaging for fast asynchronous messaging, B2B integration, Business Process Management for process orchestrations and monitoring, and metadata lifecycle management, in-memory ESB for unsurpassed performance and streaming analytics.

The recent webMethods 9.6 release brought significant enhancements to the core platform as well as to key modules including Elastic ESB, In-memory ESB and Enterprise Gateway. Additionally, more Cloud integration functionality was added to further enhance an enterprise's ability to connect to the Cloud as well as leverage their SaaS applications.
