Enterra Solutions, LLC, and Sim-G Technologies, LLC have announced that the two firms are partnering to provide the expertise needed to support and improve business processes necessary for economic development in Iraq.

Under a contract signed between Sim-G and the U.S. Department of Defense's Business Transformation Agency (BTA) and its Task Force to Improve Business and Stability Operations in Iraq, Enterra Solutions is taking the lead to provide a business-to-business (B2B) trading exchange service to help stimulate the Iraqi economy. The Iraq B2B trading exchange will provide services to assist Iraq companies with selling their products worldwide and will be a model for subsequent Enterra Solutions' economic development activities in emerging-market countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.

Using an online B2B trading exchange, the team will implement Enterra Solutions' Enterprise Resilience Management Solution to support improved commercial transaction processing and supply chain logistic services. Enterra Solutions' supply chain advisory services will introduce the strategic and operational training, product development, and merchandising, and consulting necessary to rapidly engage international commerce. Enterra Solutions will also provide an Iraqi Products Portal offering secure credit card and vendor services. These core capabilities will help Iraqi manufacturers and other industry sectors boost sales for Iraqi goods and drive foreign investment in Iraq, the company believes.

"This is the first of a number of business development activities that Enterra Solutions will be implementing in Iraq to help stimulate its economy," said Stephen F. DeAngelis, president and chief executive officer of Enterra Solutions. "The B2B and B2C trading exchanges will provide much needed services to emerging Iraqi companies and other U.S. and international entities interested in making investments in Iraq. The electronic commerce and supply chain services that Enterra Solutions and our partners will be providing in Iraq are the precursors to our Development-in-a-Box Solution deployment in Iraq and other Middle Eastern, Central Asian and African nations."

The B2B project involves the initial implementation of Enterra Solutions' Development-in-a-Box designed to help create critical infrastructure by embedding best practices and international standards into automated businesses processes that are essential to fostering collaboration between government agencies and private sector industries. Enterra Solutions has established several strategic partnerships that will help ensure business activity in Iraq and connect them to the global economy.

Enterra Solutions has established a new office in Erbil and will work with local entrepreneurs and manufacturers to create electronic systems that link Iraqi factories to investors and consumers. Business-to-consumer (B2C) services are anticipated to be added in the future.
