The following was sent to REXXLA members:
It is with great sadness that I report the recent death of Roger O'Connor.
Roger was the author of Rexx/Tk, the portable GUI interface for Rexx on which
my presentation to last year's Symposium was based.
Roger was very enthusiastic about Rexx, and had a wicked sense of humor. I
know I'll miss him greatly.
His obituary is here:
Rexx/Tk, at least in the short term. If anyone has the time, commitment
and willingness to take over the development of Rexx/Tk on a long-term
basis, please let me know. thru This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
===================================000000000============================
I'm sorry to lose any inventor. It sounds like he had a lot of diverse
interests. Historical re-creations and Japanese animation? I recently read
that Paul Katz, the creator of PKZip, died at the age of 37.
