VAI,  a leader in enterprise management solutions for the mid-market, and an IBM Premier Business Partner, announced that it revealed its new technology roadmap at the 2008 VAI User Conference.

VAI's technology strategy for the next three years kicked off with the recent release of S2K 5.0, a comprehensive redesign of the company's current S2K software offerings, developed to work together with IBM's Power Systems platform. VAI designed the roadmap around the continued importance of Web-based and mobile applications to address business' most pressing real-time information needs including:

The Mobile Enterprise. The modern business must be flexible to adapt to customer demand quickly. S2K 5.0 addresses this need with a new iPhone interface, allowing businesses to extend the enterprise and provide customers, suppliers and employees instant access to the information they need anywhere, anytime. VAI intends to expand its mobility applications to integrate with other leading handheld devices.

The Power of the Internet. The Internet is a powerful tool in the business arsenal, and VAI has enhanced its Web-based offerings with IBM's Websphere Portal technology. As the Internet continues to fuel the growth of companies around the world, VAI is focusing its research and development efforts on new portal applications and e-commerce tools to give its customers an edge with increased market visibility, enhanced customer service and improved employee productivity.

S2K Software Updates. The release of S2K 5.0 with its expanded Web portal technology, improved warehouse management system (WMS) functions and modern mobility applications will fuel future updates to the software package. In addition, VAI will utilize the direct feedback of its customer base to continually improve its solution portfolio with tools to directly impact return on investment (ROI).

Bob Vormittag, CEO, VAI, said, "VAI continuously works to develop the most advanced ERP applications possible for the IBM Power Systems platform. While our latest release, S2K 5.0, provides our customers with one of the most powerful software solutions on the market today, we understand that the field of technology never stops evolving, and VAI is already focusing its efforts on the development of additional applications. We believe that the next step in achieving organizational efficiency and enhanced productivity means empowering workers with the latest advances in mobile technology. We remain focused on delivering these best of breed solutions to our customers."
