The path to success has been deliberate. Velocity began with a laser-focus on being the expert in the applications it supported. Soon after, the company was tapped by Lawson, an Infor affiliate, as its first and preferred hosting partner for Lawson applications. Following several years of double-digit growth, Velocity took another big step toward its vision: acquiring the Lawson ERP unit of Siemens Medical Systems USA, the Lawson M3 ERP Enterprise consulting practice from RJ Thompson Data Systems, and the unique web communication platform developed by Digital Concourse. Private-equity firm, Tudor Ventures, saw the tremendous value in Velocity’s approach and became an investor in the company.

In 2010, Velocity further cemented its leadership position in Lawson application hosting with the acquisition of the NetASPx division of NaviSite. Tudor Ventures, along with Spire Capital, made additional investments in the company. Then, in 2011, Velocity added the expertise of WTS, a like-minded and highly-regarded managed application service provider for Oracle JD Edwards software, to become the dominant market share leader in both Infor Lawson and JD Edwards application hosting.

Today, Velocity serves hundreds of customers with the great depth of application expertise on which the organization was founded. The company is strong and profitable with an eye toward continuing investment in its future – integrating more software, increasing application transparency, and creating a highly-flexible application environment that enables our customers to outperform their peers in the marketplace.
