Nikolaos Makris - CEO
Niko joined 2X at its inception, bringing with him over 20 years of software industry experience, having held executive-level positions in development and sales. Niko studied computer science at the Technical University of Wedel in Germany. He worked as a network specialist and consultant for a systems integrator in Hamburg before becoming Director of the Central Europe MIS Department for Aldus (later Adobe) in Germany. Most recently he spent 10 years as Managing Director for GFI Software GmbH and GFI Cyprus. At 2X he is responsible for the overall direction of the company.
Nick Galea - President
Nick founded 2X in 2004 with over 15 years experience in building and leading enterprise product development teams, and selling network infrastructure software. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Management in The Hague and attained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bradford. In 1992 he co-founded GFI Software Ltd. While CEO of GFI, the company grew to become a leading player in the security market - with hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide, offices in 8 countries and more than 200 employees. Paul Gafa' - CTO
Before joining 2X in 2006, Paul was Projects Leader at HOB Software Ltd for 8 years. He has 15 years of experience in communication software specializing in terminal emulations and Windows Terminal Server. He studied at the Fellenberg Training Centre and holds a diploma in Industrial Electronics. At 2X, Paul is responsible for technical decisions and overall development of 2X projects. In his free time he enjoys cooking and listening to progressive rock.
Raphael Borg Ellul Vincenti - Lead Developer for Linux
Raphael joined 2X in 2004 as the Lead Developer behind the flagship product, 2X ThinClientServer. His role consists of providing interoperability between the Windows and Linux world. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Malta and has 7 years experience in deploying Linux both as a client as well as in server side computing. When Raphael is not busy advocating the benefits of Open Source, he enjoys his music - especially Jazz.
