Quiterian introduces secure mobile solution accessible from most mobile device brands for business users of predictive analytics.

Quiterian, a European developer of advanced and predictive analytics software for business and non-technical users, has announced the launch of Quiterian Mobile, a 100 percent Web-based application for mobile devices.

Announced at the recent Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) World Conference Series in San Diego, Quiterian Mobile brings the results of Quiterian’s advanced and predictive analytics closer to business users and decision makers. Users have immediate access to their corporate data through any mobile device, enabling them to make informed decisions on the fly, simply and self-sufficiently.

With a single click, users directly interact with graphically portrayed data, and can analyze exports automatically generated from the Quiterian Visual Data Mining platform. With Quiterian’s Visual Data Mining technology for smartphones and tablets, users have 24/7 access to their agile business intelligence analytics.

Quiterian Mobile takes the analysis to where strategic decisions are made without sacrificing security, the company says. Different levels of permissions are assignable to users for all classes of actions taken, making it easier to share information within a collaborative environment where varying security authorities exist. Data is hosted on the organization’s Web server and not at the user’s mobile device, maximizing data protection and security, according to Quiterian. Should a mobile phone or tablet be misplaced, nobody can access any of the information without knowing the username and password.

According to the Quiterian's vice president of U.S. sales Al Saavedra, “Quiterian now delivers the results of its agile data analysis to mobile devices, including most tablets and smartphones, through a unique and easy-to-implement architecture.” He adds: “Mobile users are able to view powerful data visualizations on a much more timely basis.”

At its 2011 conference, TDWI focused on the evolution of agile development focusing on the latest thinking on agile project management, methodologies, and modeling and addressed the lingering controversy, does agile really work for BI and data warehousing?
