Magic Software Enterprises, a leader in enterprise application development, deployment, and integration technology, has announced an agreement to sell iBOLT Special Edition (SE) for SAP R/3 to Sheba Medical Center (SMC) at Tel Hashomer, Israel.

SMC will use iBOLT to expand the integration project implemented at SMC following its transition to a health information system (HIS), which runs on a SAP R/3 ERP platform. The transition requires HIS connectivity with the hospital's peripheral systems, including patient records, operational systems, and more.

The project will be carried out with the recently introduced iBOLT SE for SAP R/3. It involves the development of 100 unique interfaces between the various systems, including the conversion of medicine-specific protocols. The entire project adheres to service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles. iBOLT SE for SAP R/3 is compliant with SAP's Enterprise SOA and supports NetWeaver certified processes.

Rivi Sela, IT manager for SMC, said, "Our decision to expand the project with iBOLT relied on the excellent experience we have had with the product in the past two years. iBOLT provides us with versatile support in numerous work environments as well as enabling us to develop integration interfaces and business processes simply and easily. It is a unique and very complex project. With iBOLT SE for SAP R/3, we can be confident that the SAP-based HIS will go live according to the planned timetable, giving us an excellent ROI."

"SMC will be one of the first customers to enjoy iBOLT SE for SAP R/3, designed to cost effectively address a wide range of business integration requirements for SAP R/3 and mySAP users," said Amit Ben-Zvi, vice president of corporate marketing and products at Magic Software Enterprises. "We believe that thousands of SAP business partners stand to gain by including iBOLT SE for SAP R/3 in their toolboxes."
